Not sure if this is the right forum for this discussion, but I wanted to bring it up to see if anyone knew anything about this. I had noticed sometimes in the "Activites" that there were duplicate appointments, but on the calendar and in the account it would only show one, so I was a little confused as to how this happened. While using Crystal Reports and running reports based on activites, I started to notice this happening more and more, so after a lot of testing I was able to replicate the issue.

So from what I've learned, it looks like we have two tables where information based on appointments is stored, ACTIVITY and HISTORY. Activity for the future, History for the past and completed. When something is on the calendar, it will show up in Activity until it's been completed then moved to History - great, that works.

However, when you complete an Activity, you have the option of scheduling a Follow Up Activity. When doing this, it creates a duplicate activity entry in the database, one that now can never be completed. Does anyone know how this is happening, and how to prevent it? I mean I am ready to take off that follow up button, but it's a very handy feature to have.

What version of SLX are you running? Out of interest I have just tried to replicate this on v8.2 (Eval) and Im unable to.

I have just located this thread which may be of some help...

I'm on version 8.1. I can send screenshots of what I am doing to see if that helps, also of what is populating on my Crystal reports.

Do you have any customisations in this area?

Yes, I added some fields into the activity page and created the rows in both the Activity and History table. I did notice however that there were some rows in the Activity table that I did not create, but were done prior to me making changes that do not appear in the History. Should I add those same rows in the History table?

I was searching thru this thread as well and have just recently logged a case with Infor for a very similar issue, although the issue my users are experiencing is with duplicating emails, even when its been sent once.  If you discover anything I would be interested to know what may be causing this issue.
