Customizing Mail Merge

fiogf49gjkf0d Is there a way that I can add a new option to the mail merge groups drop down to fire a new form where I can selectively pick contacts to include in the mail merge?

I'm not sure. However, the easiest way would be to simply make an Ad-Hoc group and call it Temp Merge or something similar. Ad Hoc (static) groups are similar to the usual 'Query' type groups in Saleslogix, but they let you manually add records to it via manual selection rather than live query.
You can manually select the contacts to add to this group by ...
- Go to any other existing group/list view
- Select the contacts you require (hold ctrl and click on each of the contacts you want)
- Click the right mouse button and select 'Add Members to Existing Group' (Or Add Members to New Group if you are making it for the first time)
You can then merge to the Temp Merge group. Just ensure you go back to the group afterwards and empty it out by selecting all the contact, right clicking, and then selecting 'Remove Selected Members From Group'.
