Customize standard groups

fiogf49gjkf0d Hi,
My users are asking if I could modify a few standard groups by adding and removing certain columns. However, when I choose 'manage groups', the SLX standard groups are greyed out and are not editable.
I can copy a group and rename it to something similar but I was wondering how I would actually modify the original rather than creating a new one and then hiding the old one from view.
Is there a way to do this? If so, how?
Thanks |

fiogf49gjkf0d Are you logged in as Admin when you attempt to edit the group? If no, try that first because Admin should have access to all groups.
Also, you may want to go into Architect and look at the properties of this group. Who owns it? If not Admin, you may want to switch it to Admin (or the user login you are using) so that you have more control from within the client to edit and release the changes.
Thank you, LaNae |

fiogf49gjkf0d In the list view, right click on the group tab then click Copy Group. When a user does this, they create a group that is owned by them. When the admin does this, it creates a copy that is identical to the original. Then in Architect you can remove the releases for the standard group and release your custom group to everyone. This will effectively "hide" it from the view while keeping it there in the admin login just in case you need it as a base again. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Thanks guys,
I've taken the option to create a duplicate group and hide the original instead of trying to edit the standard one. Thanks for the advice.
