Hi,

I've created a button that sits on the 'contact detail' form that, when clicked, calls a contact process called 'LG Satisfaction Questionnaire'. The code I used is as follows:

Sub Button1Click(Sender)
Application.BasicFunctions.DoInvoke "Process", "LG Satisfaction Questionnaire"
End Sub

However, when I click the button, nothing happens! What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the LAN Developer's reference from the support.saleslogix.com website? Here's it's example: Application.BasicFunctions.DoInvoke "Form", "Contact:Tickets"

What are you missing? The "Family:" prefix to LG Satisfaction Questionnaire. The family prefix is pretty standard to just about all of the DoInvoke functions.

Most likely any function existing in documentation already exists in stock code. Try searching all projects for something if you have a problem in the future. Yeah it's like shooting ants with a shotgun, but Sage's code is typically "the right way"(TM).

A - I DO agree that one should have the Lan Dev .chm file always handy....
B - I DO STRONGLY DISAGREE that Sage's code is typically the right way....
.. some is and a bunch is not..

B - Totally correct. I should have been more specific.

When it comes to a function call or routine that is defined in Lan Dev, stock code typically gets it right. The code immediately preceeding or following the function call? That's debatable.
