Hi all.

I am new to SalesLogix and I wanted to create some Contact Processes which I could adapt to some company procedures, I notice there are optiosn for scripts etc. so I am thinking I can customize processes to meet my needs. Is there any particular website or literature I can buy which can show me some customizations/coding for Processes. What language is it, VBScript? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had developed a separated Add-On that allows you to create workflows than you can then apply to any entity. Each node in the workflow allows you to customize scripts for entering and leaving the node, in this way you can execute any script to
-Schedule Activities.
-Update Fields.
-Launch a form.
Or anything else you can do with VBScripting/Legacy Basic.

You can still do something with Contact Processes, but you are going to twist your logic to be able to do something with something other than contacts...

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. When you say you developed a separated Add-On do you mean you created the Add-Ons from a Contact Process and twisted your logic?

Also, the scripting language is VBScript? So I will have to learn VBScript to develop my processes?

Is a separate Add-On that works with its own set of tables.

The language is VBScript. The developing of the WorkFlow (nodes and arrows) is a visual editor. You can then associate each node with VBScripts of your own.

Eugenio,
Does this add-on allow for custom or defined workflow from one department to another or how does it work? Maybe you could email me some info on this also. I've got a need to have workflow (maybe project) management from an account executive to internal staff (design/development) to vendor(s) and back with potential accounting tracking also - all of which would be on SLX. So one person - the account executive/customer would need to be aware of the status of the workflow at any time - maybe even web based.
TIA,
Tom
