Hi All,

I am trying to enable Arabic character set on SLX 7.0. The steps that I followed are listed below. Can someone please advise me where I am going wrong because after doing all this I was not able to see / write anything in Arabic(Arabic character set is enabled on my system ), everything was like the standard eval database. I have tried it on SQL server 2000.

1) Generated SQL Scripts from EVAL database
2) Copied the SQL Script file to another filename
3) Opened the SQL Query Analyzer and login as "sa"
4) In the content of the SQL script, replaced "saleslogix_eval" to another database name.
5) In the content of the SQL script, replace the collation to "Arabic_CI_AS".
6) Executed the “create database” portion of the script (up to "add user-defined type")
7) logged to Enterprise Manager --> Security --> Logins
8) Made "sysdba" as "db_owner" for the newly created database.
9) Executed rest of the script.
10) In Enterprise Manager, selected newly created database.
11) Right-click --> All task --> Import Data...
12) In the ""Choose a Data Source"" step of the DTS wizard
- Choose ""Use SQL Server Authentication"" (username: sysdba)
- Select source database (e.g. saleslogix_eval)"
13) In the ""Choose a Destination"" step of the DTS wizard
- Choose ""Use SQL Server Authentication"" (username: sysdba)"
14) In the ""Specify Table Copy or Query"" step of the DTS wizard
- Choose ""Copy table(s) and view(s) from the source database."
15) Selected all tables without views.

16) Finished the Wizard

17) Created the connection in connection manager of salesLogix

18) Changed the regional settings of Windows to Arabic (UAE)
19) Logged into SLX network Clients

Thanx and Regards
