Using the Enter key to fire an event in an Active Form

All;
I have built a custom QBE, but can not find the event that will fire from the "Enter" key rather than clicking on the "Search Button". (cmdSearch)
i.e.
User Clicks on the field where they will supply input data. (That eliminates the OnClick Event)
Then they may tab to the next input field they intend to use (Doesn't
eliminate
the onExit, but it would run a search - ready or not)
Once they have completed input - they hit Enter from the keyboard - and... I got nothing!
Suggestions? What am I missing?!
Thanks,
Carla

The button control has a property called "Default" (or something like that). Setting that property for a button (only one can have that set) will make it respond to the enter event for the form.
On that same note, the button also has a property called "Cancel". Setting that property for a button will make it respond to the ESC key.

You have to use a control with OnKeyPress. I believe when you use the Form's event, the focus can't be on any control which is awkward.
In your event you'd have something like:
if (Key = 13)
MsgBox "Enter key pressed"
end if
It might be best to break this up into it's own routine so that you can restrict control input individually. Preventing invalid characters from being typed into form fields helps to keep invalid searches down.

If you wanted to eliminate the search button use this, otherwise Ryan's suggestion is much simpler and works where there are no OnKeyPress events (Legacy, I think).
