dtedateending.Text = dateadd("d", 9 - weekday(dtedateending.DateTime),
dtedateending.DateTime)
I get an out of memory error

but on
dtedateending.Text = dateadd("d", 9 - weekday(date), date)
I do not

any suggestions

I don't know if this will work or not, but I would try this:
dteDateEnding.Text = DateAdd("d", 9 - weekday(CDate(dteDateEnding.DateTime)), dteDateEnding.DateTime)
