I have a new Mainview with "Special Accounts". I created a new table joined
to Account.
Is there a way that the .CurrentAccountName function returns something.

Thanks!

I believe you would have to load the AccountID on the Account Main View. That way it will be the Current Account, and the functions that you are looking for will return the value.

Now, that would probably be quite some work. Any reason why you want that function to return the value?

If you already have a Join to the Account then you should be able to retreive the Account Name using other approaches.

Rodrigo,
My experience on this says No... Ryan will probably prove me wrong

From what I saw, .CURRENTACCOUNTNAME only works with A/C/O views. I just did a getfield() to return the Account value. Worked for me.

HTH,
Ron

Thanks both of you. The reason is that I want to load in the lookup of the "Choose...." fom the default account Name and ID. As this form already uses the .CurrentAccountName to fill it, I didn´t want to use unnecessary code.
