In the SalesLogix 6.2.6 Windows client, what determines whether or not a group uses Virtual Server Mode versus Client Side Mode? Some of our groups display the icon in the top, right-hand corner of the screen for Virtual Server Mode and some show the Client Side Mode icon.

It is based on, and can be effected by several things. Mainly these three:

1) Uniqueness of primary key
2) Joins
3) sorting on non-indexed fields
