Disappearing List Views

We are experiencing an issue where the list view will just disappear. Nothing but a blank white screen. We have been able to reproduce this issue repeatedly on multiple clients. Has anyone else run into this issue? We have reported to SLX and there is a defect being written up for it. But we have many users here who are complaining about it and would like to see a resolution, well, yesterday
How to reproduce from a 7.0.1.1069 Sales Client . Select Opportunities from the nav bar . Select the All Opportunities group . Go to the Opportunity List View. You should see a listing of all opportunities . Go to Reports . Select Opportunity as the Type of Report . Highlight the OOTB Quota vs Actual Sales report as the name of the Report . Send the report output to Preview . Click the Generate Report button. The report should appear
From the SalesLogix Crystal Report Viewer . Click the Export Report icon (first icon, top left) . Select the Microsoft Excel 97-2000 (XLS) format . For Destination select Application . Click OK . Click OK to accept the default values on the Excel Format Options dialog . Minimize Excel when the report appears in it . Close the SalesLogix Crystal Report Viewer
Back in the Sales Client . Select the Opportunities icon from the nav bar on the left
The list of opportunities have disappeared.
Notes . All clients are using Office 2007 (12.0.4518.1014)
. We have tested using any report type (Account, Activity, Opportunity, Contact, etc) and the issue happens for each OOTB report previewed and exported
. The export type does not seem to matter. PDF, Excel or any of the others can be the export type and the issue happens
. We have tested on a box where Office 2007 is not installed and used an uncustomized database. When exporting to a PDF the same results were experienced
Does anyone have an idea what might be happening to cause this? Or what might fix it?
Thanks, John G. |
