Merge Contacts and Accounts

Hi all!
I have to create a custom version of Merge Contacts and Merge Accounts for the LAN Client. Does anyone have a starter template they would be willing to share?

On a related topic...
Why does the 'Check for Duplicates' function not push Accounts/Contacts back out to groups they were removed from? For instance...
John Smith is in the DB two times (as a duplicate) but was entered by two users. SLX User 1 has John Smith in their SyncSalesLogix group when User 2 has the other John Smith in his SyncSalesLogix group. When the 'Check for Duplicates" is run, it merges these tow dup contacts, keeping a primary, while merging the other (technically deleting this contact from SLX). If User 1 owns the primary contacts, User 2 has his John Smith deleted, and ultimately is deleted from his SyncSalesLogix group (and Outlook when synced).
Has anyone run into this issue in the past? Has there been custom apps created for this case? Will this ever be implemented within SLX as a base function?
Any help/info would be greatly appreciated. Trying to clean up a messing SLX DB.

Hi,
I have created a merge (contact level) - its just a form used within saleslogix. You locate the first contact, press load, then select the 2nd press load and then press merge and it merges the contact data, and the history, logs it, and does other very custom stuff for us. The code is very open and you will have to modify it to get it to work.
