Lookup Restrictions
Posted: 21 Jun 07 8:32 AM
Hi,
I've had a look on the forum and I've noticed Ryan wrote a document about restricting lookups, but I'm still having problems with a specific lookup. I've got a field that stores a userid and a lookup box used to store the data. I only want it to return a list of users with a specific title. I'm using the following:
FormatType ftUser
LookupMainTable USERINFO
LookupMode lmUser
LookupRestrictAlways True
LookupRestrictField TITLE
LookupRestrictOp TITLE HERE
Now this works if I change the lookupmode to lmTable but not when it's set to lmUser which I need to it be
All help appreciated!

you can't restrict the ftUSER type lookups.....
you have to use your own lookup control, point it at USERINFO, and a lookup record based on USERINFO.
ftUSER is a special lookup functions.....also ftOWNER.
