Is it possible to use a lookup in an editable grid? Has anyone done this? Thanks

I have done something similar with a hidden lookup control on the View.

So, via code I capture the events that I desire, and then set the lookupID to blank and pop it. When the code returns, if the ID remains blank, that means the user cancel, if it has an ID that means that they picked a value.

You can't necessarily add a Lookup, but you can simulate it. Add a text column and a button column. The text column is just bound to a field, the button column will be used to invoke the Lookup via code. When it returns you just update the field and refresh the grid. Make sense?

Update the record and refresh.. that's what I was missing - too simple. Already have the hidden lookup and button column.. Was thinking I had to keep track of the grid cell somehow then write back to it - I have had some headaches with this and was not looking forward to it. Thanks once again Ryan.
