CheckListBox - How to determine current row selectedYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Is there any way to determine the value of the current row selected? I think I want to do the following:

msgbox Checkbox.Items( "Selected Row" )

more details:
Some of the items in my checkbox have to remain checked. I'd like to lock these items, but I'm pretty sure this is not possible. I should be able to check what's being clicked, determine if it's being turned off, check to see if turning off is allowable, flip it back on if necessary.

thanks.

This may help:

For iCnt = 0 To lstFields.Items.Count - 1
MsgBox lstFields.Items.Item(iCnt)
MsgBox lstFields.Checked(iCnt)
Next

This will loop through, but it doesn't tell me which item was just changed. Yes, I can figure it out, but there's got to be a better way.

The DataGrid and ListView I believe have a .Selection collection for use with multi-select. If by some chance the CheckListBox does not have an event exposed to your liking (as probably is the case) then you can mimic the control using a grid or listview. ListView has a checkbox property and with a grid you would just create a checkbox column. It's not exactly the "preferred" behavior but if something doesn't work to your liking, rig up something else that will.
