Panel Control - Moving Existing Controls on to a PanelYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I am trying to move a few (quite a few) pre-existing controls onto a panel so I can manipulate them all at once. However I notice that the behavior is different if the controls were not created on the panel.

For instance if I set the Panel1.Visible = False the panel disappears however the controls placed on the panel remain visible.

If I create a new control on the panel then set Panel1.Visible = False the panel and the control that I created on the panel are hidden.

Is there a way to move all of these existing controls onto a Panel and make them a "member" of the panel?

I tried changing the creation order but it did not seem to make a difference.

Thanks,
Andrew

To move a control to a panel you must cut it from the form, select the panel, and paste the control. You can not simply move the control over the top of the panel.

Yep, first I right click on the control, copy it, delete it, and then paste in on the desired panel.

Or just use cut (CTRL/X) and save yourself an operation, as per Timmus.
