v7.1...using a standard TDataGrid and all works great until i pull in a column that has a numeric value. then the grid displays NO rows..... Pulling from a SQL View...tried casting the numeric data as varchar...still won't work. If i eliminate the numeric value colum...all rows reappear just fine..??

it happens if the datatype is SQL_VARIANT (not NUMERIC) .. pls again check and change the datatype ...
OR ,
you can use dynamic sql statement for grid e.g

With "DATAGRID_NAME"

.SQL.Text = "SQL_STATEMENT"
With .Columns
'remove any existing columns
If (.Count > 0) Then
For iFieldCtr = 0 To .Count - 1
.Item(0).Delete
Next
End If

'add column
Set col = .Add(0)
col.FieldName =
col.Caption =
col.ReadOnly =
col.Visible =
col.Width =

'add column
Set col = .Add(0)
col.FieldName =
col.Caption =
col.ReadOnly =
col.Width =

.............................
End With

'now refresh the grid to see the new columns
.Refresh
End With
