Force in-line edit of grid?Your last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Version 7.0...

I have a grid with in-line editing enabled and a text box column. (BTW, version 7.0) If the user enters zero (it's a quantity field), I'm showing them a message box and telling them they're stupid and that they shouldn't enter zero. Salespeople... Is there anyway to force the grid to go into edit mode in the quantity column making them change the value until they enter a non-negative, non-zero value? Or will have to check again on the OK button event?

Thanks,

Jeff

Well.....
when you leave a cell SLX automatically fires off the update statement...so if they typed a zero it's now zero.

I'd make it a 1, fire off the calculations, and then fire off a message to the sales people.....

You're assuming that it's an error, but it could also be a placeholder......it's the old 3 choices opportunity where only 1 wins. You post all three choices, but only give 1 choice any values.....later on when you close out the deal you can delete the zero valued lines.....

Negative numbers sometime denote a credit, return of merchancise, rebate ....
