SoapClient Control script fails/succeed depending...Your last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Hi, i have a very simple soapclient script that works fine on one server and do not work on another server. It works fine on cusers laptop.
I can't find out what is nesesary to get it working on all servers (where we need to host the slx client for citrix usage)

It fails on: "...if soapclient1.RemoteObject..."
The error message is: "Invalid Class string at line..."

Can anyone help? I have tried to install the Microsoft Soap Toolbox 3.0 - but without any luck

When you say "without any luck" do you mean that it wouldn't install, or that it installed OK but didn't fix the problem?

Hi Stuart - it did not fix the problem.
On 2 other servers (win2003servers) it works fine without the Soap Toolbox. I just read at IT-Toolbox that installing the Soap Toolbox could solve the problem. So im wondering what does it take to get this control working on a server? - i certainly miss a component or something?!?

That is odd. I replied because last week I deployed two SOAP Clients on old W2000 Servers which gave similar errors, and installing the SOAP Toolkit 3 sorted them both. I'm not sure what to suggest.

I installed Scribe on the server - and guess what: Then the Soapclient control worked!!! Then i uninstalled Scribe and then it did not work...
So can anyone tell me what component the Soapclient control needs to get working?

It seems that the mssoap1.dll is the one that has to be registered on the server. When i do that everything works fine. I hope that anyone can use this information if they have similar problems.
