I'm trying to add a custom description memo field to the Opportunity Product datagrid and am having trouble getting it to work correctly. I'd like it to function like the Description column in the Manage Products datagrid. Here's what I have...

Datagrid definition...
Set col = grdProducts.Columns.Add(14)
col.FieldName = "C_CustomDescription"
col.Caption = "Custom Description"
col.Width = 255
col.ReadOnly = False

Function CreateProductsRSStructure
...
.Fields.Append "C_Custom_Description", ?, ?, adFldIsNullable
...
End Function

In defining the RS structure, I've had trouble finding the correct syntax to append a text data type. In the ADO reference, adLongVarChar is mentioned for the equivalent of a Text data type. However, I haven't had any success in making this work. Additionally, with my column definition, I suspect I may be missing a property or two. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

I was about to pull the SLX controls into Visual Basic and start guessing with the properties. Luckily, I found the answer in Ryan's response to a question posted for the Creating DataGrid Columns at Runtime article. The PaintStyle property must be set to 2. Ryan ROCKS!
