Problem With Custom LookupEdit Control - Lookup Window Not Displaying Data
Posted: 07 Jan 09 8:09 AM
Hi,
I'm having a problem getting a custom lookup edit control to work. I added this new LookUpEdit control to the Details form for the account.
I have a custom table, SIC_CODE, which contains the following fields: sic_codeid (PK), sic_code & sic_description.
I want to use the SICCODE field on the account table to lookup and display the sic code description from my custom SIC_CODE table.
When I click on the new lookup, the Lookup window opens but it is blank. If I click on the OK button, the sic code and description columns
appear from my custom table. I can then select one and click on OK, and the value appears in the control, but the Lookup window remains open and is blank again, and I
need to click on Cancel to close it.
Here are the values I'm using:
Lookup: SIC_CODE:DESCRIPTION
LookupID: ACCOUNT:SICCODE
LookupMainTable: SIC_CODE
Lookup Mode: ImTable
Text: ACCOUNT:SICCODE
What am I doing wrong?
Barb
