Transparent images on a form
Posted: 04 Mar 09 9:06 AM
Hello,
On a 7.2.1 form I'm creating, I want to place a small status icon. The icon is circular, and so will have a transparent background to let the form's background show through.
The problem I'm having is, when I use a .ico image, it's coming out with a transparent background but the foreground is greyscale.
Is there a particular sub-format of ico that I need to be using? Colour-depth, etc? I don't want to just set the background of the image to match the form, as there are variations across the userbase depending on their Windows theme settings etc.
Thanks,
M

You'll need to use some graphic/converter packages to get the image back to .bmp and then set the background to hot pink - that'll then be transparent when displayed.

Aha, that was it - I was missing the hot-pink
