Any success with 3rd party Chart control in SLX LAN Client?
Posted: 07 Jan 10 12:04 PM
I have a potential project which would normally be a Visual Analyzer job, but with a large number of remotes that need the dashboard and relatively simple needs - so I am looking for a lower cost / lesser function alternative.
They are on SLX LAN 7.5, and I am thinking a 3rd party chart control using dot net extensions might be a good fit. Has anybody already done this? .
If so, what control would you recommend, and are there any major gotchas that I need to look out for?
thanks in advance for any pointers here...

How about just using the SLX Chart Control?
On the Toolbox, select the "SalesLogix Charts Library" and there you will find the Chart control.
For examples on how to use them, look at the Out of the Box "Sales Dashboard".
Otherwise, you could try and use the MS Chart Controls. I have done so in the past as well, but off course that will require you manage the installation of any required components.

Raul,
Do you know of any resources where I could learn more about installing 3rd party controls?
Thanks in advance!
