There is one textbox control in the dataform, I set the text to bind a fileld of the table, In the open event of the form, I set the txtName.text = "test", but it does not work. any idea?

I believe the WhenOpen event fires before the objects on the form are fully rendered. Try moving your code to the WhenChange event.
