Design-time change to Tab Control

fiogf49gjkf0d I have a tab control with several tabs and controls on each. I would now like to insert a new tab, say at position 0 (first tab). When I use the Properties to add a tab, it is always added at the last index position and can't be moved up in the list. Is there any way to insert a new tab that I'm missing? (This is in Architect on 6.2.3) |

fiogf49gjkf0d It seems that you can only modify the exist tab0 to what you need, and put the controls on tab0 to tab1, tab1->tab2.... waiting for a better solution... |

fiogf49gjkf0d Yes, big limitation of that Architect/control. What I (and others) did was to add Tab1/2/3/4/5/6 and hide tab 2/4/6 - so you had tabs to expose if you wanted them later.
However, the whole issue disappears in v7 when you can add/insert tabs. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Thanks Guys! That's the solution I'd figured I'd end up with - move all the controls. Seems in the future I should create a Tab control with a few extra tabs at the beginning and interspersed throughout just in case the need arises for another Tab. Then any extras can be deleted at the end of the project... Or, upgrade to v.7, of course. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Hint: Make sure you have a panel client aligned on EVERY tab. Put your controls on the panel.. then it's easy to move stuff.. cut and paste the panel!
Also, develop some (vbscript) functions that ref the tabs by the name on the tab and NOT the tab index. This helps when you have to move or add..
BTW - in v7 you can Insert/move the tabs around in the Architect -- rjl |
