Hi All

I am very new to SalesLogix and I am trying to connect SalesLogix to a development database without much luck. Thanks in advance for any help

Hi Craig.. 5.2 does not work w/ADO.. it's all Borland stuff (BDE) - What we call "Legacy".

Have you got teh original CD's?.. there are docs on them about installing Saleslogix. Just remember to change the WGLogs path or you will trash your production system!

Thanks for the help. Do I have to worry about the WGLogs path if we do not have any remote users?

If the SyncServer license is installed.. you need to fix it...
Also, if the Documents/Library path is under WGlogs - YES!

Hi RJ

The path in SERVERPATH is \\cccs\SLXLogs. Under that directory there are several folders that are empty(Archives, SharedLogs, Library) There are 2 folders with files (Documents and WGLogs (files are from 2003)).

Should I just create a folder called \\cccs\SLXLogs_DEV and copy over these folders and point the test system to this directory?

Yep.. that will work.
Make sure you give FULL CONTROL to everyone on the share permissions.
