I have a 6.2.6 SLX system with a lengthy legacy script that needs to prompt the user to ask a question. Can I launch a 6.2 form from the legacy script, and save some user input in a global variable to be used by the script? Or do I need to study up on legacy enough to develop a form and a separate script to perform this function?

To launch a active form from a legacy script you just invoke it:

Invoke "Form", "Family:FormName"

Same for invoking a VBScript plugin from a legacy plugin:

Invoke "ActiveScript", "Family:ScriptName"

Also, you can invoke a legacy script from an active form or VBScript plugin:

Application.BasicFunctions.DoInvoke "Basic", "Family:LegacyScriptName"

Make sense?

That's usually what I want to do when things do not sound good
