I have a requirement to default the value of a picklist(Contact Type) in the Advanced Contact Lookup filter screen. This has to be done based on the the User's Department. Has anyone done something similar to this. If so can you please guide me how to do the same. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks
Raju. R

You want to get a dynamic selection based on a field value, the only way I know to do this is to script it. Fire a script on the onchange of the User Department field and based on the value have this put in the default value of the Contact Type. If you want the user to define these default values, without hard coding the values, I have used the picklist code field to accomplish this.
