but the groups are not the legacy groups these are ad hoc groups created by different users

Hi Albert,

These Adhoc groups should still be ok though. The Adhoc group names are stored in the Plugin table and are linked to the Adhocgroup table. The Adhocgroup table has some additional columns added in the upgrade but the data in the table should still be there after the upgrade.

Hopefully you are going to do a test upgrade first - you can check after the test upgrade to see if the Adhoc groups are still there.
