Hi, I would like to read the values stored in sales logix plugin from .Net Extension. For example, in Sales logix plugin, i have some value in the variable as, Dim Var Var = 132 Now, i would like to read this value in .Net Extension and perform some business logic using this value. I tried to acheive this but didn't succeed.
Please help me to solve this problem.
Thanks, |

Ryan can correct me if I am wrong, but you cannot read a variable from SalesLogix. You do have access to the Globals hashtable through SlxApplication.GlobalInfo as long as you stored a reference in the initialize method of the .net extension. Any values that the .net extension operates on can also be passed within the run method.
Application.Managed.Run guid, args
which could be
Application.Managed.Run guid, Var

Just as with any code, your variable must be in scope of the .NET Extension. This means that either you pass it to it with the Application.Managed.Run command, set it in GlobalInfo to read it out from the extension, or have the extension return a ComVisible class that you'd set the value from the variable as a property in the class.
Does that make sense?
I suppose we'd need to know more about the code and architecture of the extension to be able to help any more. |
