How would I automate a spec upload/update into SalesLogix Library?

Hi All,
This probably isn't the correct area to post this, but I'm pretty new to this.
We currently have SalesLogix ver. 6.2.6. Everytime we have new or updated specs to be added to the library someone sends them to me, I manually save them to the server, then open up Administrator, go to the specs in the library and click the 'Force distribution' check box. This is a tedious time waster and I imaging there is some way to automate this. If not with our version, then with 7+ which I hear has a .Net base. Is there a way for me to leverage .Net to automate this, or is this kind of feature already included?
