Thanks to the excellent article by Ryan on Integrating SalesLogix Leads with LinkedIn, I have managed to write a simple script to process credit cards from within a saleslogix form. I would like to know what, if, are the security concerns that must be addressed to this approach. I know that the login name and password are in plain text in the script and that may cause some concerns. The only way to secure this, I feel, is by limiting access to the architect with a good password. Would installing SSL certificate in the Saleslogix server provide any additional security? Does using Msxml2.XMLHttp pose any security concerns? There is an interesting article on the Native XMLHTTP that comes with IE at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms537505(VS.85).aspx. But I don't see any major concerns addressed in this article.

I would appreciate any comments on this subject.

Thanks.

Ram
