two way communications and events between SLX and .NET User Control?

fiogf49gjkf0d I get that a SLX Architect form can include a .NET User Control. I have written a fairly sophisticated one. But is there anyway to do callbacks? I haven't included references to the SLX API in the Control, but I suppose I should try that first. I mean, that works to get the slx:// links working, so I suppose that could help substantially for this too. But i was thinking that I might be able to pass a memory reference to "this" or "Me" from SLX Architect Form scripts and then do call backs from .NET right into the custom script functions right in that form context. I probably spent a whole day on this about 3 weeks ago but couldn't get it to work. All the win32 loader stuff works like a charm though, and SLX can call down to the User Control with no problems. Also, the Control can accept certain events directly - without SLX getting in the way.
what i'm talking about is a .NET user control that might be just have a small panel inside of a Saleslogix Form be it's parent - not the whole form itself... I have tried that and that works fine. But then after that - interact with the objects on the Form.
So like press a button on the native SLX form and affect a value in the .NET via a function call (easy to do), and then vice versa press a button in the .NET user control and affect something in the native SLX form (turned out to be hard to do for me, but just because I couldn't figure it out, I think).
that would be cool. |
