Seeing an SLX view through the provider
Posted: 11 Apr 08 9:41 AM
Hi
When connecting to SLX through the provider, if we try to query a view (for example Account_), we get the following error:
Select accountid from sysdba.ACCOUNT_
ErrNo : 0
Native ErrNo : 0
Source : SalesLogix OLE DB Provider
Description : Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'from'.
I have also tried:
Select accountid from sysdba.ACCOUNT_
Select accountid from sysdba.[ACCOUNT_]
Select accountid from ACCOUNT_
Selecting from the ACCOUNT table works fine.
Select accountid from ACCOUNT
Presumably I am doing something stupid. Any suggestions welcome.

Those are SLX views and, as such, maybe "special" !! Did you try a real view (one you created) ?

Hi Mike
Yes I did - started with that, and when that didn't worked tried the SLX view because I assumed I had done something wrong.
Any suggestions?
Regards
David

Can you post the code you are using to attempt this - maybe something in there will give us a clue - as it does work ordinarily.
