Provider Security
Posted: 19 Jun 08 9:09 AM
Hi All,
I am new to the SalesLogix OLEDB Provider and am having a problem relating to the security setup within SalesLogix.
I have a user in SalesLogix that I have given restricted access to the ACCOUNT table. But when I run an insert/update statement against the ACCOUNT table for the fields that the user has no access to the record gets inserted/updated. I was expecting the OLEDB provider to throw some sort of error.
Can anyone tell me how the security in the OLEDB provider should work?
Thanks,
Darren
