Unable to initialize data dictionary - errorYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

We moved our Saleslogix 7.01 DB from SQL 2000 to 2008 and now we have to create all new connections in Connection Manager and Data Link Manager. We were successful in creating a new connection in Connection Manager but when trying to create a new connection in the data link manager we're getting an error that says " Unable to initialize data dictionary Invalid object name 'SYSTEMINFO', any ideas what this means?

Thanks

Make sure that:

a) Your Connection on Connection Manager saved the credentials (e.g. Edit it and do a Test, if it didn't save the Password, it won't work for the Datalink Manager).
b) If the credential saved succesfully, make sure that the SQL server is accessible from the Machine where you are trying to configure your DataLinkManager:
- Install the Same version of the SQL Client as the one on the Server
- Ensure that name resolution is working correctly (specially if you configured the connection with Machine name instead of an FQDN)
