We currently have SLX 6.2.6 installed and want to do the following with our call center.

Call comes into the call center and when it gets delivered to the agent we want the following to happen:

1. Call center software (Interactive Intelligence v2.4) causes SLX to do a lookup on the incoming ANI (calling number).
2. If calling number is in the database then callers SLX information is "popped" to the agents screen.
3. If the calling number is not in the database then it doesn't matter what's on the screen

The call center software can cause a program to be executed on the client machine and pass data via DDE. We've sucessfully caused Internet Explorer to pop with the page of the "script" for the current campaign. We'd like to go a step further and have the calling clients information to pop as well.

Any way to do this ?

What you're describing can be done, however SLX doesn't do DDE. I did a solution similar to this years ago with a telephony system that only could pass out DDE calls. What I did was build my own DDE server to receive the requests and then issued the appropriate COM calls to SLX to move to records, pop screens, etc.

Where might I find documentation on the COM calls to do the search, open the screen, etc.
