we have many groups with different conditions, is there a way to see the conditions of a group without going into a group via saleslogix? |

Technically still in SalesLogix, but you can script it to get their SQL statements with
Application.BasicFunctions.GetGroupSQL

You just put that script anywhere you want - like on a form that contains one large memo box - and feed it the right parameters. You can make a menu item or button that pops that form. That line of code that he gave you is just part of the application object that you can use anywhere in SalesLogix in VBScript. |

If all you want is to see the SQL you can select... Group Manager Select the group Select Edit Select View SQL

You know, I was going to say something too, but I realized that if you split hairs on that list of Frank gave, you actually don't go INTO the list results, which I can see annoying some people cause some lists take forever to load. If that was the issue, the resolution Frank gave would allow one to sidestep actually openning the group, and you can retrieve the conditions quickly and easily - as Chokri never really wanted to see the SQL originally - he just wanted the conditions. He could obtain his original goal quite nicely without any programming.
That said, I think it's funny that we stick around talking on and on about it, as it's quite possible Chokri has moved on. Reminds me of that one scene in Monty Python's Holy Grail movie - those two peasants arguing on and on about two different types of governments as King Arthur finally just leaves them (at least, I think I remember that part of the movie...)

Absolutely, or Ryan could figure out that I'm trying to up my Post count after not really doing anything up here except TAKE for a couple of years.
ITToolBox is really starting to gnaw at me....... if you have this Forum and the SLX SAGE Newsgroups plus maybe a C# .NET Tool Generator forum what else do you need? (OK so my daughter just left us for her Freshman year at Boston University and my wife said she'd talk to me once in awhile as long as the computer wasn't on my lap....) |

lol - my wife doesn't like the laptop much either, and I've only been married three years...
And I hated IT toolbox - didn't spend more than a day there.
And I'm sure Ryan knows that we all enjoy upping our post count - I was a bit disappointed to see you pass me up. |
