I've created a stand alone table in SalesLogix and want users to have a menu option that allows them to look up information. I've create the Look up in the LookUp Manager, however when I go to amend the Standard Menu I cannot add the Lookup as it doesn't appear!

Do I have to do anything to show the Function:Lookup?

Thank you

A lookup is a way of allowing a user to navigate quickly around SLX - eg between accounts, contacts, tickets etc and is perhaps not exactly what you want, given that the table is standalone?

What data does the table contain and what do you want to do when the user selects it?

Phil,

The table contains product cross reference information. It enables a users to look up a competitors products and cross reference them against one of our own products. They need to be able to look up by the following: Competitor, Competitor's Product Code or Product Category. The information won't be linked to an account or contact. The reason I want it in SLX is so that it will sync out to our field reps.

Cheers

OK - why not just pop up a form containing a datagrid & some search criteria. As I said, lookups are for navigation - by the sound of it, not what you want here.

Phil,

Thanks for your response. I'll go with the data grid.
