Not sure if this is the right forum.

MySql database contains client login info for a customer portal. Need to get login info (id and password) into SLX 7.0 for implementation of the web portal.

WebEncrypt is a method available in application.basicfunctions. Not sure how to use this method with KnowledgeSync. I am using KnowledgeSync 6.0 to update data in SLX when the mysql database is updated, however I am not sure how to get to this method. KnowledgeSync utilizes the slgxapi.dll for all interactions with SLX and I think I have to do something else to get to application.basicfunctions.

The Application Object only exists withing SalesLogix.. it's not "exposed".

Hello, Daryl:

KnowledgeSync (now known as "Sage KnowledgeSync") can update SLX via either slgxapi.dll or via a VB Script, and we have templates/examples of such scripts that you can request from our Support department (http://www.vineyardsoft.com/html/email_support.html). I'm just a sales and marketing guy myself, so although I'm not familiar with WebEncrypt, I'd strongly suggest that you also use the above link to send this question to our technical folks.

BTW -- version 7 of Sage KnowledgeSync is also available now -- with new graphic Navigator module, event "streams", and other new functions, so you might want to do a new download so you can have a look at it. You will need a new NFR license code to run v7, so just email me (farber@vineyardsoft.com) the name(s) of the server(s) you want to run your NFR on, and I'll send you back your NFR license code.
