Picklist types?
Posted: 21 Sep 07 1:01 PM
Anyone know how SalesLogix determines whether a picklist is a "SalesLogix" picklist or a "Custom" picklist? Best I can tell is that a "SalesLogix" picklist starts with the "kSYST" picklist ID. Anyone know of another way to tell without looking at a hard-code list? I used the SLXProfiler and it doesn't reveal anything interesting.
Thanks,
Jeff

System start with kSYST.
On previous versions where some out of the box picklists came defined as "Custom" (e.g. Opportunity Status") the ID started with kCUST.
I believe starting on 7 they cleaned them up so all the OOB picklists are now consider System, but off course if you have an upgraded system you still will find OOB picklists on the Custom tab and their IDS beginning with kCUST
