Oportunity ID location and Doc Management app integration

Our company went to a third part Doc Management system a year ago while we were on SLX 6.2.6. It's built on .NET and is integrated with a couple of other apps here at our Insurance Agency. The documents are linked via a screen scrap type of tool that spies the current window you are on and looks at specific control paths to locate a unique field for ex. the opportunity_id field on a policy detail screen in SLX.
After the upgrade to 7.0.1 the integration is broken between our DMS (Treeno) and SLX. It seems the control path to the Op_Id field has changed in 7.??? We are currently displaying the op_Id field but hidden to the user under the Opportunity Button on an Polcy/Opp detail screen.
The path being used to this is for example: /MDIClient-000/TfrmNewMainView-000/TPanel-001/TPanel-001/TPanel-000/TPanel-000/TScrollBox-001/TViewControl-000/TScrollBox-000/TSLForm-000/TSlxAXForm-000/TDCOLEControl-000/TPanelEx-000/TDCOLEControl-005/TPanelEx-000/TDCOLEControl-000/TPanelEx-000/TDCOLEControl-038/TCustomStaticTextEx-000 = Opportunity Information
MDIClient-000/TfrmNewMainView-000/TPanel-001/TPanel-001/TPanel-000/TPanel-000/TScrollBox-001/TViewControl-000/TScrollBox-000/TSLForm-000/TSlxAXForm-000/TDCOLEControl-001/TEditEx-000 = O6UJ9A0004X9
It looks like the opportunity detail screens have changed where the path is different depending on the Category type field in.
I would really like to get this integration setup in a reliable fashion so these to apps can talk. Any ideas.
