My Users schedule meetings in Outlook. They would like to utilize a new functionality in Outlook which will export the Details of that meeting to SLX. In that Process, the plugin would prompt them to enter all the details with some data in combo boxes populating from SLX. When done and submitted, it should write to all the relevant table in SLX either to SDATA or thru .Net data access methods.

Anyone done that ? Ryan?

Done the items you describe? Yes. Have something that does exactly that you describe? No.  Laughing

Yes, it is all doable. Is this something you're looking to build and asking about general feasability? Or did you have specific questions about any part of what you've described?

The only expirience i have with these things is building one assembly which reads emails and extracts the attachments and play around with it.

This is about creating a new Outlook Calender Rightclick menu item which will throw a screen(which will have info from both the calendar item as well as from SLX in the comboboxes) which when submitted would write back to SLX in  the same structure as my create Meeting screen(extensive customs there).

I am thinking of using Add-In Express for bypassing the outlook security popups. http://www.add-in-express.com/docs/net-outlook-addins.php

Any other methods out there which will not use any proprietary code(Add-In  Express) for getting this done?
