The maximum report processing jobs limit configured by your system administrator has been reached
Posted: 20 Aug 07 7:40 AM
Has anyone come up against this error in SLX Web Reporting v7.01
"The maximum report processing jobs limit configured by your system administrator has been reached"
I've found info on this and it seems to point to one of two things, either the report connection isn't being closed as each report is run or I'm reaching the maximum number of reports.
You can increasing a default value (http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1394624&page=1), but it mentions as you increase this it increases the load. But doesn't give you anyidea of what you should increase it too, is this a common problem? anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
Duncan

Hi Duncan,
Yes - we have seen this same error. I have been struggling with slx web reporting issues ever since we upgraded to 7.0.1 and Crystal XI a few weeks ago. I changed the registry as per Business Objects Knowledge Base article c2019074 from 75 to 150. The error regarding maximum report processing jobs has not recurred since making this change. But it's only been a day.
However, we continue to see "Failed to open report" errors every so often. Once this occurs we have to reset IIS to recover reporting functionality. Today we had to IISRESET four times!
Most of the discussion I have seen of this problem points to a failure to properly close reports once they are generated. See for example this discussion:
http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/showpost.aspx?postid=1691781&siteid=1&sb=0&d=1&at=7&ft=11&tf=0&pageid=0
Anyway, if you have made any progress on your issue please post about it.
Thanks,
Doug
