Hi all
SLX 7.0 SQL 2K5

I am getting the following error when doing the configuration check in web manager.

Cannot log into the system using Webdll. (1385) logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.

We have given following rights to WebDLL user on Webserver.
1.Access this computer from network
2.Act as a part of operating system
3.Allow log on locally

We have also added the user to administrators group.

Can someone please tell me what could be the reason.

Thanx
Kirti

Kirti,

Have you tried physically logging in to the server as webdll? Can you at least log into the system with that username? I think I've gotten things to work without having to do that before, but it could be the windows user profile isn't "complete" until you log in. You might also discover an error when you attempt to log in giving you a better idea of the problem.

The other thing - I know in older versions you needed to log in as webdll and set the date format to include a 4 digit year; I don't know if that applies in 7.0 or not. You might want to check. I don't think that's your problem, but it will at least verify that you can log in as webdll.

I have seen these errors before even when things work. Does the WebSite work?

I agree with the other opinion that the first thing to do is to login as the WEBDLL user and then run the Web Manager should be the first step.

If you can login locally, and configure the Web Manager as WEBDLL you should be ok.

Also, check to see if the site is running and/or how the site is configured. What errors do you receive on the Event logs?

I installed the Webhost by logging as WebDll. When I try to open the site I get the following page

"You are not authorized to view this page"

In IIS, have you set up the web site (and virtual directories) to use the webdll user you created as its anonymous user? Does the profile/configuration checker return any errors after logging in and running it as webdll?

Website and virtual directory were automatically created during webhost installation and I have not done any changes to them. When I login with Webdll and do a configuration check I get the following error : Cannot log into the system using Webdll. (1385) logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.

Thanx
