Web Customer Portal Installation
Posted: 03 Jan 08 4:37 PM
Is it necessary or advisable to separate out the installation of the web customer portal from the web client? Web customer portal will be for external access while web client is for internal access.
Thanks,
Daryl Probetts

That depends on requirements.
They can both exist on the same server without problem. However, if there is a requirement to have the full SLX client on an internal server, only accessible inside the network and have the customer portal in the DMZ then you'd have to separate them on different servers. Make sense?

Yes. This is what I thought but I wasn't 100% sure.
