trying to logon to the Customer Portal site and getting this error...Any reasons why ??

"The entered user name does not match any registered logons in our system. Please try again or request assistance."

I have verified that the correct password and userid is there for that contact which is trying to log in to the portal site..Also the contact has tickets associated with his name.

My only concern while configuring this is that i dont have the customer portal user as the "Support User"...rather as a concurrent user..Should this affect the way the Cust Portal behaves???

As I recall security changes made in the Admin are not instantly seen by the WebServer. So, if you made changes to the SalesLogix security (ie added/configured the customer portal user) after the WebServer was booted you may need to bounce the WebServer in order to make the security changes visible to the WebServer.

I am not sure about the concurrent user license it may matter. Can you switch the license and try it?

You would need to contact Sage about licenses.

Contacted sage.

Even Network user license is OK.

Removed some of my custom templates and actions(only alerts added to the page) and it worked...but the reason why i made those changes is because i had problems logging in to cust portal..so what was the problem after all...i do not know...but is it fixed? yes it is..
