Hello,
I am fairly new to the web client and have been on a steep learning curve for the last month,
I am stuck with users creating new contacts or accounts.
If a user has a web client licence, the only option they have when clicking on 'new' is 'note', but if i log in using a network licence, they have the ability to add contacts or accounts.
Am i missing something simple ? How can i allow users with Web Client licences to add new contacts or accounts ?

Are you sure you have a named web user license and not a web viewer license? The restriction you're seeing sounds like the restrictions on the web viewer license. From the 6.2 Planning Guide:

WebViewer License (Restricted Use): ...Users are limited to read-only access to Sales information, although they can create and edit notes, history, and activities...

Thank you for the response, i have looked at the licences and they all say 'Named WebViewer Users'.

No problem. SalesLogix has lots of gotchas and sorting through all the license types is one of them - it'll keep you on your toes!
