web install issues (continued)

Problems from my prior post (strange error messages) seemed to have resolved themselves as I coerced the sysadmin to give appropriate rights to the webdll user. But, it's not over yet. All that's happened is we're getting a new error message.
General Login exception occured.
Here's what I have tried...
run IISReset on web server stopped and started slx serivces on slx server deleted admin entry in slxwebuserinfo table rebooted web server rebooted slx server
Can anyone think of anything else to try? We're up against a corporate deadline which calls for user testing to begin tomorrow.
Help. |

I am not sure what deleting entries from the SLXWebUserInfo table would do for a server side error, as that table holds the cookie for the User Options.
What version of SLX Web are you running? What Service Pack level? Did you follow every step on the Implementation guide?
Any errors on the Event Viewer? Have you run SLX Profiler to see what is the last query it executes?

"deleting entries from the SLXWebUserInfo table" was in a slx suggested resolution at their support site. as to what good it would do, i don't know either. it did no good at all.
slx version is 6.2.3 installed according to the implementation guide.
not to be too obtuse, but where would i run the profiler. we have three servers -- one for slx apps, one for the web and a sql server. i have now tried it on all three and get no results as i try to log in through the browser on my local machine. btw, should there be any slx service running on the web server? there does not appear to be anything other than iis.
Thanks for all your help. the profiler idea is a good one. now, if i can just figure out how to do it.

Given the version, did you install the DST workaround (in all SLX machines)? Otherwise, you may want to go to at least 6.2.6
For the SLXProfiler, I would suggest you run it on the Web Server, as this is where your "client" is running from. If that doesn't help, you may want to run Process Monitor to try and capture where it is failing.
