Is there any functionality or 3rd party functionality that will allow users to export contact to outlook from the web client? Thanks |

Not sure why, but I had typed a long response and it failed to save.
So, probably a shorter version.
If you have access to the SLX FTP site, EL is located under the "SalesLogix Solutions CD".
Also, it is a Server to Server integration between SLX and XCH (thus the name), so you would be required having access to XCH.
In general, it works as follows:
You create per user mappings (Contacts, Activities) against XCH mailboxes. EL runs and checks what has changed based on the mappings (on the SLX side it uses Triggers on the Address and Contact table to keep track of what has changed on the SLXRECCHANGE table) and synchronizes the records
I could try and dig some more info, but I do know how it works since I have been in touch with the product pretty since its beginning as part of a major project I lead a few years ago. |

Hey Raul,
Is there a trick to running this in a test environment? We've had it setup against a specific database, and refreshed the DB a couple of times. Now we get error on slxrechange number. We truncated that table to try just starting over on this test site, but it still is comparing to something else, some other tracking system. Is there a refresh process when a test db is restored froma more recent PROD database?
Thanks, Todd |

After truncating the SlxRecChange table I moved (delete or whatever) the files in the following folder. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SalesLogix\Exchange Link Then stop/start exchange link service Doube-check your user links in ExchangeLink. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Hi,
We have installed exchange link. However notice that it seems to stop syncronizing periodically. Recently we had a problem where the server crashed due to lack of disk space. The server has 30Gb and only runs saleslogix. Finally discovered this is due to the 12.8Gb of log files (in a hidden folder) that were built over a period of just 3 days. It is then that we knew that Exchange Link had crashed.
It starts working when we run the CDO again. Is there a reason why it crashes?
